Welcome to Climate Reality Boston
Building awareness of the climate crisis and mobilizing civic action across Greater Boston.
Our Priorities
Education and outreach are at the heart of the Climate Reality Project. Our members come from all generations and walks of life, and have experience speaking about the climate crisis with neighbors, community groups, businesses, congregants, elected officials, students, activists, educators and other gatherings.
In addition, we organize our members around civic actions to address climate change mitigation and adaption, working with other organizations. Our current priorities include:
Electrification
Helping people transition to electric homes and transportation
We work to spread the word about how electrification can save you money and benefit the planet. We want everyone to know about the financial incentives and local organizations that can help navigate the complex process. View our Electrification Guide and Resources for 2024.
Least Developed Countries Fund
Helping vulnerable communities respond to climate change
We're working with Oxfam America and others to pass state legislation that would allow taxpayers to voluntarily contribute to a United Nations fund that helps the countries most vulnerable to a changing climate respond.
Climate Curricula
Teaching climate change in elementary and high schools
Did you know Italy will now require public schools to teach climate change and sustainability? Our group of educators is working to help K-12 teachers in Massachusetts develop their own climate-aware curricula and lesson plans.
Speakers Bureau
Starting the climate conversation
Climate change is affecting every ecosystem and community. But it’s not too late to take action – and we can show you how. Our presenters trained as Climate Reality leaders by Al Gore. We come from a variety of backgrounds and customize our presentations for your audience.
